What is Talent Africa

This year the top talent in the country will compete for the prestigious Over-all Awards in the various categories of:

Dance, Vocal,Instrumentals, Acting and Modelling

To compete at this national event, learners first need to qualify at a provincial qualifier in their region. We trust that you will find this competition rewarding in every aspect from gaining experience, meeting other performers, learning from others, to great prizes and sponsorships to compete in international events such as Talent America-New York, ESDU- World Dance Masters and the Dance World Cup.

Talent Africa was established with the core objective of creating the absolute most prestigious National Talent competition of the highest standard ever to be presented in South Africa for young performers. The main aim is to give young artists with the relevant talent the best opportunity to be exposed to all that the entertainment world can offer on both national and international level.

The difference is that Talent Africa, through partnership with government and non-profit organizations offer less privileged individuals a fair chance to receive the correct training and expertise, to ultimately be part of this grandeur event. It keeps costs as low as possible, while still giving children the opportunity to be adjudicated by industry professionals.

It is about performance! The best performer reaches the stars; this is the basis for Talent Africa’s events. Talent Africa is responsible for all the necessary input, such as sound and lighting equipment as well as the facilitation of training. The event will be perfected by adding the talent!

To refine talent, performers will have to compete against tough competition firstly on provincial level, then on a national level with the final event being and international competition in New York and Croatia. Performers will be subject to strict judging by professionals in each form of the Performing Arts. When performers receive top awards they will feel satisfied that they have achieved the highest place in South African Performing Arts based upon international standards.
